Quality Assurance

Our trainee Healthcare Science workforce is vital to securing future services, and it is crucial they are well-trained and well-supported.  The trainee experience has a profound influence on workforce supply and potentially the experience of subsequent "next generation" trainees.  Supervisors and trainers are central to trainee experience and preparedness.

Oversight of trainees, trainers and workplaces is an important role for NES Healthcare Science. Assuring training is a matter of good practice and important in monitoring the return on NES funds. Holders of our national training numbers agree to our assurance regime, both as a partnership with us and, in some cases, as an obligation traceable to the statutory regulator.

The quality assurance elements below form part of our role in assuring high-quality training programmes across Scotland, which is essential in order to maintain standards of training across all disciplines to ensure patient safety.
